The Sectorless project is investigating Innovative techniques to the ATC capacity problem.
They are examining several axes of research - very large 'super sectors'
and even the complete suppression of sectors (trajectory based control).
The eDEP platform is being combined with the DigiStrips technology to produce a concept demonstrator,
culminating in a number of small-scale experiments within the HF Lab (Q3-4 2003).
